1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using WordsAlchemy, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. Description of Service
WordsAlchemy is an online language learning platform that provides sentence-based English learning exercises, audio pronunciation, vocabulary tools, and progress tracking. The service is offered in free and paid (Pro) tiers.
3. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
4. Free & Pro Plans
The free plan allows limited daily usage (20 sentences and 2 exams per 24-hour window). The Pro plan provides unlimited access to all lessons, exams, and features. Guest users receive 10 lifetime free sentences and 1 exam. New Pro subscriptions include an optional 3-day free trial requiring payment card authorization at checkout.
5. Free Trial, Payments & Refund Policy
All Pro subscriptions are billed and processed securely by Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record. (a) 3-Day Free Trial: You may enter your payment details to start a 3-day free trial. Your card will not be charged during this trial period. You may cancel your subscription at any time during the 3-day trial from your account settings with zero charge. (b) 7-Day Money-Back Guarantee: If you do not cancel during the trial, your first payment is processed upon expiration of the 3 days. You are entitled to request a 100% full refund within exactly seven (7) calendar days of this initial payment directly from your Settings or by contacting support. Upon refund issuance, Pro access is terminated immediately. (c) Strict Refund Cutoff: After the seven (7) day period following your first payment has elapsed, all payments are final and non-refundable. You may cancel your subscription at any time thereafter to avoid future billing cycles, and you will retain access until the conclusion of your current paid billing period.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on WordsAlchemy — including sentences, audio files, and UI design — is the property of WordsAlchemy. You may not copy, redistribute, or scrape content without explicit written permission.
7. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to: (a) attempt to bypass usage limits through automated means; (b) scrape or bulk-download content; (c) use the service for any unlawful purpose; (d) attempt to gain unauthorized access to the system.
8. Limitation of Liability
WordsAlchemy is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
9. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
